Eating Through March: Day 2

Beef and Broccoli

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 cans beef broth
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 lb venison steaks or boneless round steak cut into thin bit size pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 good shakes of Tastefully Simple Garlic Garlic - a little extra minced onion and garlic would work too!
  • 4 Cups veggies - I use 2 cups chopped broccoli, 1 cup sliced carrots, 1 cup snap peas if available, handful chopped onion
  1. Ina small bowl whisk flour, broth, sugar, soy sauce, ginger and garlic.Whisk until powders are dissolved
  2. In a large skillet cook venison/beef until 98% done

  4. Add broth mixture and Garlic Garlic
  5. Add Veggies

  7. Bring to a boil, simmer for at least 10 minutes or until sauce thickens and veggies are tender. If sauce doesn't thicken whisk in a touch more flour.

Serve with white or fried rice.
